About us

Svensk Tågkraft AB is an established and stable railway company that has been working with transport solutions for our customers since 2004, maintenance in our own workshop, and rental of locomotives for freight traffic. Much of our operations are adhoc with work in contracts. Our operations are located throughout Sweden, and our head office and workshop are situated in Nässjö.

About the position

As a train driver at Svensk Tågkraft, you are responsible for driving our trains, ensuring quality, and acting commercially. The job also involves contact with traffic management, colleagues, and our workshop. In addition to actively working as a train driver, you will be part of our teaching staff to develop our training operations. We are looking for someone who appreciates having varied working hours, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working placed in different projects. We place great importance on your flexibility as the position may involve work throughout Sweden. It is a compressed position with the stationing location at home.

Your tasks

• Drive trains according to applicable rules and safety regulations
• Monitor and manage technical systems on board
• Collaborate with traffic management and workshop
• Contribute to high safety and secure transport with a focus on quality
• Educate and develop skills among colleagues and customers
• Ensure current training materials according to applicable regulations and internal guidelines

We want you to

Have a degree from the train driver training program with several years of practical experience. You also have experience in training and examining train drivers.

As a person, you thrive in a self-directed role where you can collaborate with others and use your communication skills. You express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. German is a merit. Furthermore, you are motivated by a varied work pace and have good judgment, being able to make quick and well-founded decisions under difficult circumstances.

Safety and accuracy are the foundation of our work; therefore, it is important that you are safety-conscious in everything you do and are well-structured and organized in your daily work.

Hold at least a B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you are an authorized trainer in the Swedish Transport Administration's training programs, such as BASÄFÄRDTSM, BASÄSKYDD, or BASÄTSM.

Teachers/instructors with us have the opportunity for their own professional development through relevant supplementary and refresher training, as well as the opportunity to participate in various types of seminars within their field of education to maintain and develop their skills.
